Join the STEELHART production floor as a Manufacturing & Fabrication Specialist. You'll work hands-on with heavy-gauge steel, modified shipping containers, and modular infrastructure builds — welding, fitting, and finishing units engineered for the most demanding industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld heavy-gauge steel components for containerized and modular builds
- Read and execute from CAD drawings, work orders, and shop travelers
- Perform precision cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing to spec
- Inspect own work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Collaborate with engineering on build sequencing and field-informed improvements
Requirements
- 2+ years of fabrication, welding, or heavy manufacturing experience
- Proficient with MIG / stick welding and grinding equipment
- Able to read tape measure, drawings, and tolerances accurately
- Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and working on feet for full shifts
- Reliable transportation to Elkhart, IN facility
- OSHA 10 or equivalent a plus
